Handcrafted Greek Goods Village Batch sources, imports, and distributes authentic Greek products primarily from the Arcadia region of the Peloponnese. Arcadia is an area we call home, where our family has a long history of olive farming. This family operation has always focused on quality, health driven products that are unprocessed and free of additives or preservatives. In 2012 we founded Village Batch and started importing superior quality organic extra virgin olive oil to the United States. From there, we continue to source more products that align with our standards and promote our philosophies, while maintaining a direct connection to farming and production. A Place We Call Home The Arcadia region is a large area in the Peloponnese of Greece. It is situated on the Eastern coast of the mainland, roughly 100 miles south of Athens. Here you’ll find a mountainous coastal region that is largely agricultural and seafaring. Arcadia, Greece is where our base of operations is located and where our products are primarily sourced from. The Ancient Gift of the Olive In Greek mythology, the goddess Athena gave the gift of the olive tree to the Greeks. This gift was considered to be the most valuable of all, so in turn, they named the capital after her, Athens. Like ancient Athenians, we too see the value and beauty of the olive. We do our best to respect it by offering products that celebrate its characteristics without compromising its quality. Present Year Harvest Olive oil is produced during the winter months every year, roughly November – February. It is our mission to always offer the present year’s harvest and never have an oil that’s over a year old.
